A bit about myself

I’d like to share a little about myself. I began my studies in Music at the University of Pretoria, followed by a teaching qualification through UNISA. While completing my teaching studies, I also pursued my Psychology Honours at the University of Pretoria, where my passion for supporting children and young people was sparked.

I spent several years teaching across various grades in both mainstream and private school settings, as well as at a FET College working with students after Grade 12. These experiences shaped my understanding of the diverse needs learners bring into educational spaces. Driven by a desire to support individuals more holistically, I completed my master's degree in educational psychology at the University of Johannesburg.

I value lifelong learning and enjoy the varied nature of my work. Within my scope of practice and skill set, I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I would be honoured to walk alongside you and/or your child on the journey toward well-being and growth.

Theropy

I offer therapy that is flexible, integrative, and responsive to my client's unique needs. Rather than working from a single therapeutic modality, I aim to draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to suit my client’s personality, circumstances, current challenges, and available support systems.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed framework, with a strong focus on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered. I am trained in Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Integrative Brain-Based Approaches (IBBA).

I provide therapy for children from the age of 5 using a play-based approach, as well as for adolescents, students, and adults who are seeking support, growth, and emotional well-being.
